PDF Reports
SiteView can export your measurements as professionally formatted PDF reports. Choose between summary mode for a compact overview table and detail mode for per-measurement breakdowns with map screenshots. PDFs can be generated from the site detail Measurements tab or from the cross-site Measurement Register.

Export Modes
Summary Mode
Summary mode generates a compact PDF containing all selected measurements in a single table. Each measurement occupies one row with its key values:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Type | The measurement type (Distance, Area, Volume, etc.) |
| Value | The primary result with units |
| Category | The assigned category label |
| Site | The parent site name |
| Date | When the measurement was taken |
| Notes | Any attached notes |
Summary mode is best for providing a quick overview of measurement data to stakeholders or for project records.
Detail Mode
Detail mode generates a more comprehensive PDF with one page (or section) per measurement. Each measurement section includes:
- A map screenshot showing the measurement geometry in context
- All measurement values and metadata
- Per-type specific formatting (described below)
- Coordinate data for each measured point
Detail mode is best for formal reporting where you need to show the spatial context and full data for each measurement.

💡 Tip
Use summary mode for regular progress reporting and detail mode for final as-built records or quality assurance documentation.
Per-Type Formatting
Each measurement type is formatted differently in the PDF to present its data most clearly:
| Type | What the PDF Shows |
|---|---|
| Distance | Start and end coordinates, individual segment lengths, total distance, bearing for each segment |
| Area | Vertex coordinates, perimeter length, calculated area |
| Volume | Boundary polygon, cut volume, fill volume, net volume, reference mode (plane, lowest point, or design surface) |
| Elevation Profile | Profile chart image, start/end elevations, total ascent/descent, length |
| Gradient | Start and end points, horizontal distance, vertical difference, grade percentage, slope ratio |
| Coordinate | Point coordinates in all configured formats |
| Height | Point coordinates, elevation value, datum reference |
| Arc | Centre point, radius, arc length, chord length, included angle |
| Grade Check | Survey elevation, design elevation, difference, tolerance, pass/marginal/fail status |
| Cross-Section | Profile chart image, section length, cut/fill area statistics |

ℹ️ Did you know?
When exporting from the Measurement Register, the PDF can include measurements from multiple sites. The report groups them by site and includes site name headers for clarity.
Pasco Branding
All exported PDFs include Pasco branding:
- Header — Pasco logo and "SiteView" product name
- Footer — page numbers and generation timestamp
- Title section — site name, export date, and measurement count
The branding provides a professional appearance suitable for client-facing project documentation.
Printing Considerations
PDFs are formatted for A4 paper size in portrait orientation. Detail mode pages with map screenshots and charts are designed to print clearly at standard printer resolution.

⚠️ Watch out!
Map screenshots in detail mode are captured at screen resolution. For the best quality print output, ensure your browser window is at a reasonable size before generating the PDF.
