Getting the App

The Pasco Cloud mobile app brings the platform to your phone β€” create reports on-site, capture photos with your camera, log issues with GPS coordinates, and receive push notifications when approvals or assignments need your attention. This page covers how to get the app installed and logged in.

Logging In

πŸš€ Let's go!

Getting started on mobile:

  1. Open the Pasco Cloud app after installing
  2. Enter your email address and password β€” the same credentials you use on the web app at app.pasco.cloud
  3. Tap Login
  4. If this is your first time using the mobile app, you will be taken through a short welcome walkthrough β€” four slides introducing the key features, guided by the Ginger Bear mascot
  5. After the walkthrough, you land on the dashboard and you are ready to go

If you do not have a Pasco Cloud account yet, create one on the web app first at app.pasco.cloud β€” see Creating Your Account.

The Welcome Walkthrough

The first time you log in on mobile, a short onboarding walkthrough introduces the app's key features. It is four slides with the Ginger Bear mascot, covering:

  1. Reports β€” create and submit reports from your phone
  2. Issues β€” log issues with photos and GPS
  3. Tasks β€” manage your task list and track progress
  4. Notifications β€” stay informed with push notifications

You can swipe through the slides at your own pace. The walkthrough only appears once β€” after that, you go straight to the dashboard on login.

The welcome walkthrough introduces key features when you first open the app.

Push Notification Permission

Shortly after logging in, the app will ask for permission to send push notifications. We recommend allowing notifications β€” they are how you will find out about approval requests, issue assignments, and other time-sensitive events when you are on-site and not actively looking at the app.

You can change this setting at any time in your device's notification settings.

System Requirements

PlatformMinimum VersionNotes
Android6.0 (API 23)Available on Google Play Store
iOS15.0Coming soon to the App Store

The app is lightweight and designed for use on construction sites where connectivity and device capabilities may vary. It works well on both current flagship devices and older models that meet the minimum version requirements.

Troubleshooting

  • "Invalid credentials" error β€” double-check that you are using the same email and password as the web app. If you have forgotten your password, reset it at app.pasco.cloud using the "Forgot Password" link.
  • App not loading after login β€” ensure you have an active internet connection. The app needs connectivity to load your data on first login.
  • Push notifications not appearing β€” check that notification permissions are granted in your device settings. See In-App & Push Notifications for more details.

⚠️ Watch out!

The mobile app requires an internet connection to log in and sync data. Make sure you have mobile data or Wi-Fi available when you first open the app. Once logged in, some features work with intermittent connectivity β€” see Offline & On-Site Usage for tips.
