Managing Users & Connections

The Users page is your central hub for managing people on the platform. From here you can browse team members, manage your personal connections, and organise groups — all from a single tabbed interface.

The Users tab shows platform members you can see, with search and filtering to find the right person.

The Users Page

The Users page is organised into three tabs:

Users Tab

The Users tab shows platform members that are visible to you — people in your organisations, projects, and groups. Each user card displays their name, avatar, job title, and primary organisation. You can search by name or email and filter the list to find specific people.

My Connections Tab

The My Connections tab is your personal contact list. It shows everyone you have connected with on the platform. Connections are mutual — both parties must agree to connect. This tab is where you manage your professional network within Pasco Cloud.

Groups Tab

The Groups tab shows your groups. You can create new groups, view group details, and manage group membership. Groups are covered in detail in Groups & Sharing.

Your Profile

Your user profile is how others see you across the platform. You can edit your profile details from the Settings page:

  • Name — your display name shown on reports, issues, and comments
  • Avatar — a profile photo or image that appears next to your name
  • Job title — your professional title (e.g. Site Supervisor, Project Manager)
  • Phone number — your contact number, visible to your connections
  • Address — your business or office address

Connections

Connections are the foundation of collaboration in Pasco Cloud. When you connect with someone, you are adding them to your personal network — making it easy to share documents and collaborate on projects.

Sending a Connection Invitation

To connect with someone:

  1. Find them on the Users tab or search by their email address
  2. Click the Connect button on their profile
  3. They will receive a notification (and an email if they are not yet on the platform)
  4. Once they accept, you are connected

Accepting or Declining Invitations

When someone sends you a connection invitation, you will see it in your notifications. You can accept to add them to your connections, or decline if you do not recognise them.

Removing Connections

You can remove a connection at any time from the My Connections tab. Removing a connection does not delete any shared documents — it simply removes them from your personal connections group.

💡 Tip

You can invite people who are not yet on Pasco Cloud by entering their email address. They will receive an email invitation to join the platform. Once they create their account and accept, you will be automatically connected.

Why Connections Matter

Connections are not just a social feature — they have practical implications for how the platform works:

  • Personal connections group — every user has an automatically created group that contains all their connections. This group can be used for sharing documents with your entire network at once.
  • Sharing shortcuts — when you share a document, your connections appear in the user picker, making it quick to share with individuals you work with regularly.
  • Cross-organisation collaboration — connections work across organisational boundaries, so you can collaborate with subcontractors and external consultants just as easily as internal colleagues.

Searching for Users

The Users tab provides search and filtering to help you find the right person:

  • Search — type a name or email address to filter the list instantly
  • Browse — scroll through the list to see all visible users
  • View profiles — click on a user to see their full profile, including their organisations, projects, and role
